UK fire safety regulations require all dry risers to be tested under pressure once a year and given a visual inspection twice a year by a licensed engineer. During a dry riser servicing, an engineer will inspect all components of the system for any faults or weaknesses. Mechanical parts will be greased in each valve, and any parts that are worn out, broken or missing will be replaced. After the dry riser test, the engineer will issue a full test report and compliance certificate.
