What Is a Dry Riser?
A dry riser is a specially designed piping system that can be externally attached to buildings. Its purpose is to provide firefighters with a pressurised water source should a fire occur. Typically, they are used to provide a water source to floors on the upper level of buildings and work up to a height of 50 metres.
Why Do I Need a Dry Riser?
Dry Riser outlets are required to be installed on each floor of a high-rise building. In London and throughout the UK as well as nationwide we must follow strict guidelines, meaning that any building which is over 18 metres tall should be equipped with a dry rise system that is installed, serviced and maintained correctly.
